Throughout his career László Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946) produced brilliant works in painting, film, photography, sculpture, set design and typography.

With his radical approach to aesthetics and concept of painting and sculpture, his versatility and openness to new media and materials, and his experimental photography, Moholy-Nagy – more than any other Bauhaus teacher – shaped our view of the Bauhaus during the 1920s.
The exhibition catalogue shows the entire range of Moholy-Nagy's artistic achievement with over 170 principal works produced from 1919-46 in various media: His late paintings, his photographs, photograms, photosculptures, and his accomplishments in the field of graphic art are complemented by numerous colour illustrations.

The book also documents the reconstruction of a never completed work, “The Room of Today“, which incorporates the most important themes Moholy-Nagy brought to his art.
